Pioneer Village is a collection of 12 buildings that were moved or built on site to resemble structures of the early 20th century. Pioneer Village includes the old Aztec Jail, a tinsmith and print shop, a Denver & Rio Grande Railroad caboose, and a blacksmith and carpentry shop. Other buildings are a log cabin, farmhouse, church, one-room schoolhouse and a magistrate judge office. Also in Pioneer Village is a post office, general store and doctor’s office.

Inside each structure are wonderful historical items and displays related to the use of each building. Visitors are encouraged to photograph or video the buildings and their contents. This is a great museum your children will enjoy. Pioneer Village can be rented for weddings and other occasions.
